Erin has been part of the Emmanuel at Brighton Child Care Centre community since October 2015 when her first child started at the centre. Currently, her second child is at the centre and her elder child has now moved on to elementary school, but will attend the summer camps programs. Professionally, Erin has spent her career working in the Advertising and Communications industries. She has contributed significantly to strategic achievements for client, corporate and departmental business goals. 

Erin brings a creative flair to the board. She is motivated for results and is a passionate contributor. These skills were highlighted during her first year on the board, as she was select to be a member to of the Strategic Planning committee. Erin is hoping to continue to gain knowledge of Board Governance and remain a key member on the Board of Director for years to come.

Growing up, Erin didn’t have a deep connection to nature but always appreciated being outside. As an adult, Erin learned that she loves the outdoors, especially in the winter. She was once an avid snowboarder and is looking forward to the opportunity to be one again once her two small children are a little older. 

Erin also loves to cook and bake! So much so, that she once thought her career would be in a kitchen. However, after working in a bakery for a summer she realized it was just too hot and came up with another career path. Over the years, Erin has taken her creative ideas and put them to work. Some examples are; travelling, learning to sew, blogging, an Etsy shop owner and renovating her house right down to the studs and back into a house again.
